Making a difference

Doing skilled work from home office

Continued economic growth in New Zealand can only be sustained through the desire of migrants to come and contribute.

INZ plays a crucial role in this regard by identifying, attracting and approving the entry of highly skilled and family sponsored migrants.

However, this is only one aspect of our varied job description – albeit a significant part. We are also instrumental in:

  • Providing advice on New Zealand’s immigration policies and obligations to employer and community groups
  • Making the entry of visitors, students, investors, workers and permanent migrants as smooth as possible
  • Supplying prospective migrants with the information they require to make an informed decision
  • Offering settlement assistance and support in conjunction with other government and community agencies
  • Managing the legal entry of people into New Zealand

Underpinning all our activity is the desire to provide the best possible service and to demonstrate honesty, fairness, confidentiality and respect in all our dealings.
