IOM (International Organisation for Migration)
IOM (International Organisation for Migration) has become the lead agency for managing migration activities around the world. New Zealand became its 100th member state in 2003. IOM’s main service areas have been extended to include migration movements, return of refugees/migrants, mass information, counter trafficking, capacity building, health issues and labour migration. We are working directly with IOM for medical screening of refugees, resettlement movements and consular services (verification of documentation).
