Supporting migrants

When migrants first arrive in New Zealand they need immediate and ongoing settlement support.

Community and local government organisations offer a variety of services for new migrants. This ranges from helping with housing and health through to deciding on education and work.

Immigration New Zealand currently provides financial assistance to more than 20 migrant organisations and support groups throughout New Zealand.
