Students Online offers students from overseas the opportunity to access a faster and more convenient service to apply for their student visas for their study in New Zealand.

The service allows certified education providers to act as the students’ sole point of contact for applying for visas.

As a provider, being a Students Online partner allows you to market a more complete student support package to international students and maintain contact with students.  It also offers providers:

• more control over the student visa process
• the ability to streamline their enrolment processes
• a way of meeting aspects of the Ministry of Education Code of Practice for Pastoral Care of International Students.

What is an education provider required to do under the Students Online system?

For international students, the Students Online service offers them:

• the ease of dealing with their education provider for visa applications
• no queuing at Immigration New Zealand branch offices
• greater support from their education provider in ensuring their applications are correct
• greater security in the handling of their passport
• the opportunity to apply for Length of Course visas. 

However, not all students are eligible to use Students Online for their visa application.
