Fees will change on 28 July 2008

Friday, 4 July 2008

Some of the fees that Immigration New Zealand charges applicants for visas and permits will be changing on 28 July 2008.

If you lodge an application on or after 28 July 2008, you must enclose the correct fee at the time you lodge the application.

The changes are outlined below. This website, our policy manual, and our Fees Guide (INZ 1028) will be updated on 28 July 2008. Our office and fees finder, which displays fees in currencies other than New Zealand dollars, will also be updated on 28 July; contact your local branch with any queries before then.

The fee changes include:

  • a decrease in the group visitor visa (other) fee from $80 to $60
  • a decrease in the group visitor visa fees for Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, and Bangkok (citizens of Thailand only) from $75 to $60
  • a decrease in the transfer fee (where permit or visa stamp or label is transferred from one passport or certificate of identity to another) from $100 to $80
  • the fee for a temporary permit granted after consideration under section 35A of the Immigration Act 1987 will be increased from $200 to $260; and
  • the fee for a residence permit granted after consideration under section 35A of the Immigration Act 1987 will be $700.
