Sydney branch processing times

How quickly can you expect us to make a decision on your application?

The processing time for most nationalities is up to the timeframe outlined below with seasonal variations. Remember to include all the documentation, fees and photographs listed in the relevant checklist. If we do not receive these, your application will be returned or delayed.  Furthermore, we may request additional information during the assessment of your application. If we are unable to decide your application within the timeframe advertised, we will contact you within this timeframe about the status of your application.

In some cases, where more information is needed to support an application, for example a labour market check or a medical referral, applications can take considerably longer than 25 days. Other than the table above, we are unable to predict how long each individual application is likely to take, but we are committed to delivering the fastest possible service and we will keep in touch with you throughout the process of your application.
