Ho Chi Minh City Branch processes applications for temporary visas – visitor, student, work and transit. Residence applications must be lodged with Bangkok Branch.
Temporary visa applications take a minimum of three weeks to process.
Some applications take significantly longer. Examples of these include (but are not limited to) partnership applications requiring an interview, applications where a health problem is detected, or applications where further enquiries are needed.
You can contribute to a shorter processing time by preparing your application well. Submitting good quality information, including all the documents requested on our application checklists at the time you lodge your application, will greatly assist us.
Our peak processing seasons are between December and March and between June and July, which precede the start of the New Zealand school semesters. During these months, processing times can be as long as six to eight weeks. We encourage you to lodge your visa applications with us as early as possible especially during these times.
