Welcome to Immigration New Zealand – Auckland Region

Welcome to Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city and commonly known as the ‘City of Sails’.

The Auckland region receives a very high number of applications each year. We have three branches in the region – Manukau, Henderson, and Auckland Central.

You may not have to come to the branch to lodge your application. Make sure that you read the information below and submit your application to the right place, so that we can process your application as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

Lodgement of temporary entry visa applications

Please do not queue at an Immigration New Zealand branch in Auckland if you are applying for a visitor, work or student visa.

Applications for visitor, student and work visas must be:

  • lodged by mail to PO Box 76895, Auckland Mail Centre, Auckland, or
  • submitted at the drop boxes in our Henderson, Manukau, or Auckland Central branches.

For further information about lodgement requirements for temporary visas, take a look at our application checklists. For more on submitting applications or contacting us, see our contact details.

Work visas (based on job offers)

For further information about work visas, including labour market tests, see work visa (essential skills).
