The Moscow branch employs eight staff and operates out of the Embassy of New Zealand in Moscow. We have been operating as an Immigration New Zealand branch since 2000. Our most experienced staff member has been processing applications for more than 15 years. All the visa officers employed at the Moscow branch are fluent in Russian and English.
Each year we process more than 4,000 applications made up of applications for: visitor's, work, student, permanent residence (Family Categories), returning resident’s visas, limited purpose visas, and transit visas.
We are responsible for processing all of the above types of visas for the following countries: Armenia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, and Uzbekistan.
All applicants from the above countries will need a visa to go to New Zealand. This includes people who wish to transit New Zealand.
For Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia we process permanent residence visa (Family Category) applications only. The citizens of these countries are exempt from having to obtain a temporary visa for visits up to three months. Visa waiver does not apply to people travelling on alien's (non-citizen's) passports issued by these countries.
