Hong Kong branch employs 13 staff, divided into three teams – Express team, Review team, and support team. Details for each team are listed under staff contacts on the contact details page.

This branch is responsible for processing visas in the following regions.

Temporary entry class visa applications for Hong Kong and Macau residents
Taiwan – family residence applications
All temporary entry class visa applications from Guangxi, Guangdong, and Hainan provinces. Resident visa applications from these three provinces should be lodged with the Beijing branch.

In addition, the Hong Kong branch oversees temporary entry class visa services provided through the New Zealand embassies in Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, South Korea.

Change of opening hours

With effect from 1 June 2012, the Hong Kong branch will be open to the public from 9:00 am to 12 noon, Monday to Friday.

From 16 April 2012 applicants from Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea and Japan will be required to submit applications for all resident visas (except resident visas under the Business categories) directly to our branch in Shanghai.
