The Christchurch Branch is responsible for the Canterbury/Upper South Island market. The region is an attractive destination for both visitors and migrants.
In addition to managing temporary entry and residence policies, the branch is responsible for managing several unique policies including the Joint Venture Fishing, Operation Deep Freeze and APEC business cards.
The branch currently has a staff of 50. Teams operating within the branch specialise in residence and temporary entry applications. The branch also has a dedicated team processing applications under the Skilled Migrant Ccategory.

Christchurch branch holds residence information seminars every week on Wednesday afternoons at 3.00pm. The seminars usually last for around one hour. The seminars are for people who would like to apply for residence in New Zealand and want to know more about the policy and process involved. The dates scheduled for the seminars are as follows:
