The Christchurch Branch is responsible for the Canterbury/Upper South Island market. The region is an attractive destination for both visitors and migrants.

 

If you are applying for a visitor permit, work permit or returning resident’s visa and reside in Canterbury, Nelson, Marlborough or the West Coast, please send your application directly to our Branch.

 

If you are applying for a residence permit and reside anywhere in the South Island, please send your application directly to our Branch.

 

In addition to managing temporary entry and residence policies, the branch is responsible for managing several unique policies including the Joint Venture Fishing, Operation Deep Freeze and APEC business cards.

 

The branch currently has a staff of 55. Teams operating within the branch specialise in residence and temporary entry applications. The branch also has a dedicated team processing applications under the Skilled Migrant Category.
