With approximately 50 staff, the Branch is responsible for processing temporary visa applications for the extended Canterbury, West Coast and Nelson / Marlborough regions and residence applications for the South Island. The Branch also processes applications for the Fishing Industry and APEC cards.

Christchurch Branch now has public access

A new building, fully compliant with building requirements, has been modified for use at:

Open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm and Wednesdays from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. Public holiday closures are listed under Opening Hours.

Customer car parking is not available; the closest bus route is no 40.
