China Working Holiday Scheme

Tuesday, 22 March 2011
More places are to be released under the China Working Holiday Scheme.

One thousand places are available annually to young citizens of China for a 12-month stay in New Zealand. Places under the quota are released in stages to help manage demand.

A further 300 places will become available from 10.00am (New Zealand time) on 12 April 2011.  As with many of our working holiday schemes, the interest from potential applicants is expected to be much greater than the number of places available. This can result in the quota being filled within a very short time of it opening, and may mean that many people miss out.
