Applications for residence (Skilled Migrant Category)

Pool selection of Expressions of Interest

Expressions of Interest (EOI) are selected from the Pool each fortnight. You will be advised if your EOI is drawn. If it is, your EOI will then be allocated to this office for assessment.

Expressions of Interest

An immigration officer will make an initial assessment of your Expression of Interest (EOI) within one week of your EOI being selected from the Pool. Your immigration officer will then contact you informing you of the decision within two weeks.

Note: If your EOI has been selected and you later obtain an offer of skilled employment in New Zealand, you should contact us by email at nzisbangkok@dol.govt.nz or send us a fax to +66 2 654 3451.

Submitting applications for residence

If you are invited to apply for residence, you will be advised to send your completed application form and all required supporting documents to the Shanghai branch.

See applications lodged at Shanghai for information on the processing times for that branch.
