Visa Applications from Sri Lanka

Tuesday, December 11, 2007
From 1 January 2008 Bangkok branch will process all visa applications for Sri Lankan nationals residing in Sri Lanka.

This change has been made to reduce some of the pressure on resources in New Delhi and to enable us to continue providing superior and timely service to all our customers.

You do not need to come to the branch in person to submit an application. However, during the processing of an application you may be asked to come to Bangkok for a personal interview, or to be available for a phone interview. You will be informed well in advance.

You do not have to present your passport original at the Bangkok branch at the time you submit your application. If you cannot submit your passport, you may submit your application with attested copies of the complete passport; however, the original passport will need to be submitted once the application is approved so that the visa can be endorsed.
