Samoan citizens are entitled to the discount because of the special relationship between Samoa and New Zealand.
All citizens of Samoa are entitled to a $92 reduction in the residence fee when they apply under the following categories:
It is possible that when you applied for residence from 29 November 2005 until 1 July 2009, you did not receive the $90 discount which applied only to Samoan Citizens.
Any Samoan citizen who thinks they may have been overcharged should contact their nearest Immigration New Zealand office.
The Immigration New Zealand Apia branch altered its procedures at the end of June 2009 and customers are now charged the correct fee.
The Immigration New Zealand website fees finder has been adjusted to ensure the correct fee is shown.

If you were not given the discount to which you are entitled we apologise for this error and we will refund the $90 to you once we receive a completed request for refund form.
